Data Analyst/Data Quality Specialist

Description
As a Data Analyst/Data Quality Specialist you will design and test logic rules for ingesting customer data from source format into the target format. You will be responsible for auditing customer data feeds to ensure continuity and consistency. You will also conduct ongoing checks for gaps and anomalies while creating and maintaining documentation of processes and best practices.
Requirements
- Conduct a thorough review of data records to validate data accuracy and comprehensiveness
- Determine the appropriate rule(s) and logic apply to ensure data accuracy
- Follow project procedures for reviewing data ingest procedures and properly document data issues
- Identify, research and resolve data inaccuracies and issues by carefully reviewing submission information and corresponding with submitting customers
- Monitor data in queue and process data content so that flows through the system timely
- Support the testing team in developing formal data test plans and test-requirements compliance matrices documents as required
- Support in developing manual and automated test scripts and test procedures using available testing tools
- Produce manual checklists document as required. Produce lists of defects that are to be resolved and incorporated into future releases of the application as required
- Perform and lead tests of software to ensure proper operation and free from defects
- May create test data for applications
- Document and work to resolve all complex problems
- Report progress on problem resolution to management
- Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations
- Implement and oversee any required corrective actions
Qualifications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Desire and ability to quickly learn the client’s business processes
- Must have completed or have experience on at least one application development life-cycle
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science or other technical field is required
- Ability to obtain US Government Public Trust clearance is required
